Godzilla 1989 - Giant 1/80 Soft Vinyl Model Kit - Kaiyodo

Kaiyodo's monstrous 1-meter-tall (3.25 Feet), 2-meter-long (6.5 Feet) 1/80-scale soft vinyl kit of Godzilla from 1989's Godzilla vs Biollante!

Masterfully sculpted by world-famous Godzilla sculptor Yuji Sakai, this is by far the ultimate Godzilla collectible. The unpainted, unassembled soft vinyl kit features exacting proportions and detail...it's not just huge, it's a dead-on accurate model of the Big G! It's not exactly cheap, either, but it is by far the biggest and best kit of "Bio-Goji" available! 

Pre-Owned - This comes from a collector who never built it and just kept it stored. The boxes (yes, that's plural) show a fair bit of wear but they are just brown cardboard cartons with the 'Godzilla' Branding on them, they aren't full art boxes or anything like that. The outer shipping carton is also here to help ship the kit if need be (collection in store is very highly recommended for this item) but this has been folded in half for storage purposes and also is badly worn (it will do its job though).

As with all soft vinyl kits you may find you need to warm up some of the pieces as they will undoubtedly have gone out of shape a little after all these years in storage. As such this kit is recommended more for the 'expert' modeller if you intend to actually build it.

Occasionally casts of these kits are offered online but I can guarantee you this is an original!

Back when this was released in was a very expensive kit and were not offered for sale in the UK, leaving anyone over here that wanted one to have to import it themselves, I can confirm that the import duties alone on this pieces was around £400.00 at the time! I'm sure you can imagine there were not many imported to the UK (possibly in the single digits) and it is highly likely that this is the only one left unbuilt in the country! It really is such a rare item.
